Apple watch Red Exclamation point message. When I double click from the red exclamation point, the screen goes blank for a few seconds and the apple screen comes up for a while , then the exclamation point comes back. No instructions appear. Now what?

Use the Get Support button at the top of this page, but you are almost assuredly going to need to either send the watch in or if there is an Apple Store near you visit the Genius Bar.
I’m experiencing the same issue as the person who initially asked this question. In the article you attached it tells you to press the side button twice. When I do so, it brings up the Apple logo for a moment, then returns to the same screen with the red exclamation point. It sounds like the original person has done already followed your instructions as well.
Is my only option to send in the watch for repair? Surely there is something that can be done from home!
