After the upgrade, Ventura seems to have to changed the permissions on the entire drive my system is on so I cannot add, or delete anything on it. Tried changing permissions, but don't have permission as the admin. Go figure.
What am I missing? TIA

FYI, in case you are interested, here are two Apple articles regarding the new drive layouts where the areas outside of the "/Users" folder are not allowed to be changed even by an admin user.

That's the same on my SSD drive that shows on the Desktop. That's normal. However, you should be able to save in any folder within your Home folder.
Post the same screenshot for your Home folder.
Try restarting in Safe Mode followed by a normal startup.
The system Drive has been locked down for quite a while, maybe since Catalina.
Save your data inside your home folder.
Post a screenshot of the Info pane for the drive wowing the permissions and ownership section. Blank out your user name before posting.
Apple is not a company known for sharing information since they are secretive by nature. I cannot count how many times I find out about a new way to do something (especially on the iPhone) that was not even well covered on the review sites. For macOS or iOS information, I tend to read at least one review describing all the new changes to the OS (additions, changes, and deletions of features) which helps a bit. I usually like the articles on the arstechnica.com website as they tend to provide a good detailed overview and some technical details of any new features, although they were a bit lacking on properly describing the new Stage Master feature in macOS 13.x Ventura.
Or you can watch Apple's launch event when announcing the new operating systems or products.
I'm talking about the entire drive (it's only one partition), not just the system folders within it and no, it wasn't locked with Catalina.

Ahhh, got it. Only my username folder has full permissions. Never noticed that before.
