Stage Manager still have Mirror Effect when its connected to an external screen

When I connect my ipad to a screen I still have the mirror effect and the option for change it doesn't appear. Does my screen must have an specific feature?

Apple has not, as yet, officially added external monitor support to the new iPadOS 16 Stage Manager feature.

Look for Apple to, officially, release the extended monitor support, to the iPadOS 16 Stage Manager feature, in a future iPadOS 16 update.

Basic screen mirroring should be available to an external TV or connected monitor with iPadOS 16.1. However, Stage Manager support for external monitors is not yet available - this feature being planned for release later in the iPadOS16 lifecycle.
