Ive been using this app but suddenly stop working and screen turned black. I deleted the app and reinstalled a couple of times but same thing happened despite of updating phone software. I even called the concerned company of that app, tried to help me but was informed that the problem is not on their end. Pls assist. thanks

It's clear the app works for your wife and for me. So no, it would not be on Mercedes end. Why it's not working for you however, is a mystery. You've done the right thing by deleting the app and reinstalling it.
Try a simple Force Restart of your iPhone:
When your iPhone comes back up and sign back in, see if you can use the app.
I just unlocked my car with the app, then locked the car, so the app is fine on my iPhone. Have you ensured you are running the latest version of the app? Are you updated on your iPhone to iOS 16.1?
Sorry I've haven't been able to help you. Do you by any chance have a VPN on your iPhone? If you do, they're generally bad and completely not needed. Turn it off if you do and see if you can open the app.

I have that app. It works perfectly on my iPhone 14 Pro Max running iOS 16.1.
it was doing well since nov 2018 until yesterday afternoon.
Yes IOS 16.1. My wife is also using iPhone 14 and it’s working perfectly. I called Mercedes and was told that it’s not on their end.
Maybe it’s time for me to upgrade since this a four year old model ???
Did you try the Forced Restart? As to whether its time to upgrade, that's up to you. I tend to upgrade almost every year myself. It's one of the things I believe I work very hard to be able to do.
