Dark Mode Stuck On

My iPhone xs max suddenly went into dark mode in the middle of the morning and I can't get out of it, even when I switch it to light mode. Restarting my phone has not worked either.

Another place to check are the Color Filters on the iPhone.

Open Settings ➡️ Accessibility ➡️ Display & Text Size ➡️ Color Filters: Ensure that this switch is set to OFF.

Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

Press and quickly release Volume UP button
Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).

You are welcome.

Well, it is not a fix for anything. It is actually a setting for applying Color Filters to the iPhone Display. It is set to OFF by default. This setting gets, accidentally, set to ON and is notorious for getting confused with Dark Mode at times.
