Malaysia Digi: Red dot (missed call, but doesn't show how many) on Phone and Voicemail notification

Hi there,

I have this annoying voicemail notification all the time when I go off and online and missed call badge in the form of a red dot without indicating the number of missed calls. I'm using 14 Pro Max with the latest software (was hoping that it would disappear with iOS 16.1, but it never did) and even went to my carrier office to check. They say it is an iPhone issue. How on earth may this happen to me?

PS: I checked and googled that this is a common issue and detected that for Malaysia's Digi this has been happening since 2010: a-12 year issue, can you imagine?

I'm thinking about porting out from the Digi, but is there any other ways?

This is a relatively new problem with Digi™ service. I get the same thing with Digi on my iPhone. This problem is also replicated on an Android phone that I tested on. So this technical issue is cross platform. The fault lies with Digi. Refer to this Lowyat thread for answers.

I have been having iPhone since 2011-12. Never seen anything like this before.

We still have iPhone 4S, 5, 6, 8, SE (1st Gen), 12 Pro, iPad Pro, and MacBook Air & Pro with all devices updated.
