Volume controls

Hello guys, can someone explain to me what is the difference between the side volume buttons and the slider in control center?

And another question - how can i control the volume when streaming? I am using Chromecast and the side volume buttons work when i am straming Spotify, but when i am using HBO/Netflix i cannot control the volume (only possible with the Tv remote control).

Apologies if these seem stupid questions, but i have been an android user till now and still catching up with iOS finctions.

Thank you :)

When you're on the phone or listening to songs, movies, or other media on iPhone, you can use the buttons on the side of your device to adjust the audio volume. Otherwise, the buttons control the volume for the ringer, alerts, and other sound effects. You can also use Siri to turn the volume up or down.

Reduce loudness in the currently playing video (Siri Remote 1st generation): Show playback controls, then select the Audio Options button and choose Reduce Loud Sounds from the pop-up menu. Reduce loudness for all videos: Open Settings on Apple TV, go to Video and Audio, then turn on Reduce Loud Sounds.
