Unable to Share Reminders List - IOS16

I am attempting to share a Reminders list with my wife. Sharing fails. When she clicks the link, she gets “Reminders unavailable. The Owner stopped sharing or you don’t have permission to open it.”

This happens when sharing from either my iPhone or iPad. When I click the link on my end, I’m guided to iCloud where I can see my shared list NP.

All 3 devices have the latest version of IOS16. I’ve also rebooted all devices.

We are sharing other lists between us (prior to OS upgrade).

This should be simple.

Hello joomlales,

We understand each of the devices are up to date. However, shared lists require that both the creator of the list and the people who can view it have upgraded their reminders. We'd recommend seeing if there's an option to upgrade within Reminders on your device, or your wife's device.

  1. Make sure that your device is connected to the Internet.
  2. Look for a  blue Upgrade button above your lists.

Upgrading the Reminders app in iOS 13 or later has details about upgrading reminders along with what to expect after you upgrade.

Regards.

Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to respond.

I took a look at all devices and also went into both of our iCloud accounts. The option to upgrade is nowhere to be seen. This leads me to believe that we most likely did the upgrade at some point since the advent of iOS 13.

I’ve tried sharing lists with my wife and she to me. We still get the following error.

I’ll also mention that there are some shared lists (shared both ways) that are active and working from previous efforts.
