Southwest Wifi zombie network glitch

I have a frequent issue where, when trying to connect my iPhone to wifi networks (nowhere near an airport or planes), my phone will tell me it's trying to connect to Southwest Wifi (and of course fails).

Any ideas how this could be happening? Why does my phone frequently default to trying to force connection to a network that isn't present?
