I have a new apple Id which works with iCloud and logging into the app store. However, when I try to download an app it says that I need to log onto itunes. Then itunes says my credentials ate not correct.
how do I get itunes to recognize my apple ID credentials?
My daughter helped me. I did not have Media & Purchases turned on under Settings - my account on the phone itself.
I can now download from the apple store

When you get that message on your screen, tap Review to sign in, then review your account information.
Click Review repeatedly.
Some people have only had a response after a second or subsequent click.
Try to download a free app at the App Store.
For example try to download this (is an free app).
Log in at appleid.apple.com and make sure you have payment information stored there.

You can’t merge multiple Apple ID accounts.

Try to verify your payment information:
Sign in to your Apple ID account page and edit / update your Apple ID details.
On the Sidebar click Payment methods -> then tap Payments Methods and tap Manage payment method.erify your payment information:
I am not trying to merge accounts. This was just set up two days ago when I bought my first apple phone.
I want to download apps from the apple store but when I hit the ‘get’ it says that have to log into itunes which then rejects my credentials and I can not download the app.
I updated my payment method at appleid, but I am still getting the same message that the appleid has not been used in the itunes store and that login does not accept my appleid credentials.
