Apple TV series 3 will not sign in to ICloud

I’ve tried previous solutions posted including adding a new registration code to the password field. Nothing works although I am signed into iTunes on the same ATV. I’ve also tried entering my wife’s Apple ID but that won’t work either. Anyone got any ideas?

It sounds as though you're attempting to sign in to your Apple ID with two-factor authentication on your Apple TV, and unable to do so. To confirm, are you receiving a verification code on a trusted device and entering the code with your password when attempting to sign in again? If so, you'll want to reach out to Apple next for additional support. They'll be able to take a closer look in to this issue further. You can find their contact details via the link below.
