Does Steam still work on OS 10.14.6? All I get now is a medium-sized black window, and zero options. But it worked as recently as last week.

CMM has been a problem itself in the past for several people, may require uninstalling & reinstalling the OS, but before tat might try this...
To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...
Open System Preferences>Users & Groups, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.
Does it work in the new account?
Uninstall CleanMyMac per their directions , then run etrecheck to see what chaff it left...

Thanks. I do not understand this at all.
About 6 months ago, the normal Steam menu stopped appearing, but I was able to still play using the Big Picture Mode. Now, all I get is this image.
I just cleaned the Steam files with Clean my Mac, and downloaded it and reinstalled. This image was taken after the reinstallation.
Any idea what I might try to fix this? // Thanks in advance.
