How do I turn off phone number recognition on a Mac Preview?
Serial numbers, ISSNs, PubMed database PMIDs. These are not phone numbers. I'm not going to try to telephone anyone on my Mac. Surely, there is a way to disable "phone number" recognition.

You do not have to use Facetime.app calling on the Mac...
Sign in to or out of FaceTime on Mac - Apple Support
If you can find the option Edit > Substitutions > Data Detection and uncheck it, that should work. However, If the app doesn't have this option, it can't be done.
