I have not been able to get one of my external HD's to display in Finder on Ventura....I made sure its mounted and working properly...(use it for CCC backup). I have looked everywhere and have tried everything to get it to be visible. Any ideas?

It was not solved but the solution for me was this.I erased the drive and named it the same ccc backup....Now it shows....
I contacted Carbon Copy Cloner and they promptly responded with the exact problem and 2 solutions and pointed me to this site. Bom

Its an interesting read because Apple don't like CCC because its just the best out there.

I've encountered a similar problem in macOS Ventura where the Desktop no longer displays all of the mounted devices and Finder does not display them in it's sidebar. The mounted devices that are not displayed are CCC backup copies of the Macintosh HD volume. All of the devices that are not displayed are APFS devices containing macOS Monterey backups of the Macintosh HD system disk. I haven't done any CCC backups of Macintosh HD after updating to macOS Ventura.
Disk Utility displays the devices and notes that they are mounted. Currently, if I attempt to dismount the devices in Disk Utility, it will initially complain that the devices/volumes are in use until I dismount the container.
The Senior Advisor at Apple Support that I spoke with was unable to provide a solution to this problem.
My external drive shows up but Ventura does not recognize my USB devices that worked with Monterey. Multiple other issues as well.
