There are several ways to subscribe to this streaming service, and some exclusions apply:
- If you subscribed with Acorn TV directly, then you have to watch in the Acorn TV app (not in the Apple TV app), and sign in there with your Acorn TV account (not Apple ID account).
- If you subscribed in the the Acorn TV app on an Apple device (in-app purchase), then you have to watch in the Acorn TV app (not in the Apple TV app) on an Apple device.
- If you subscribed in the Apple TV app to the Acorn TV Channel, then you have to watch in the Apple TV app.
These types of subscriptions have different terms and conditions, different perks and limitations, and are not exchangeable as such. Your payment method is not relevant for this. Visa or MasterCard can’t assist with non-financial issues either.
If you subscribed with payment through your Apple ID account, then active subscriptions are listed in your subscriptions overview. See your subscriptions overview - Apple. Acorn TV itself wouldn’t know about your current subscriptions status through Apple, as the only see an obfuscated subscriber ID (not your Apple ID).
If neither has an active subscription for you, then the charges are more mysterious.
