How do I delete a wallpaper created with the latest update?

There is a need. And I should be able to choose for myself if I want to delete something I created. What if it’s a picture of my exwife. (Not that it is). I don’t want to see that wallpaper option forever. This seems like a basic function missing.

You're looking to delete a created wallpaper on the iPhone with iOS 16. There is no need to delete a wallpaper, you can simply change the wallpaper to another option using the steps from the resource you came from: Change the wallpaper on your iPhone - Apple Support
