Original box fake airpods

I recently bought an Ipad 9th gen and an Airpods Pro 2 from a local distributor. He sent the photos of the serial number of both items after my payment and it's the same as it arrived to me. This is my 6th purchase from the same distributor and all of my previous purchases were legitimate and original apple products. Upon opening the ipad, everything was fine. Unfortunately, upon opening the Airpods Pro 2 I immediately noticed that there were no speaker holes and lanyard hole on the charging case. I sent this to my distributor and he asked me for the serial number of the airpods. The box has a legit Airpods Pro 2 serial number but the airpods itself was found fake by my Iphone (which I bought from the same distributor lol). My distributor doesn't want to replace my airpods since there's a chance that I could've just changed the contents upon opening (which I didn't lol) . My distributor already asked apple about this since he sources his products directly but I just wanna make sure that there's a chance that I can prove that I don't have the Airpods Pro 2 of that serial number.
