Phone location was wrong.

I was trying to login in one of my apps and when I logged in, I got a text saying that my acct “was recently logged into from Unknown device in Las Vegas.” But I’m in Los Angeles. I checked my device and it’s not connected to any VPNs. I already changed my password. How could this happen and what else should I do?

Why would Apple ID say I am trying to log in so far away like 3 towns away? Couldn’t that be a bait for someone to continue being logged into my cell? How can I know if my phone is being monitored by someone 3 towns away and my cell keeps telling me if I want to sign in at that location?

Apple thinks I’m in CA I had to resign-in to my Apple ID on all devices when I got a new iPad - the pop-ups on each device to not allow or allow the device sign-ins said there was a device attempting to sign-in in Milpitas or Santa Clara, CA. I’m in northern AZ. On Find My Device, all devices show at my home in AZ. Is there a glitch in the system?
