are apple email servers down now?

are the apple mail servers down or is there something preventing mail based on Ventura and iOS16?

I’m not able to send or receive emails using my iCloud email account I'm not receiving any emails except from Apple in my @icloud.com inbox, not on the iPhone, not on the Mac and not even if I login directly to Icloud from a browser. It suddenly happened I received till 2:30pm today my last email, but after that I cannot send nor receive any email to usual recipients. But I still receive generic emails from apple. I didn't change anything so why is the server blocking my outgoing and incoming emails all of a sudden? [Edited by Moderator]

I cannot receive mail on all my devices Is there an issue at Apple? Everything was fine until about 7:30 this morning.

Apple Mail suddenly cannot send mail Suddenly Apple mail took all my SMTP servers for outgoing mail offline and won't turn them back on. I can receive mail on all these same servers. This isn't just icloud, but other servers as well (gmail, etc) I fired up Spark and can send the same emails just fine. I closed and reopened Apple Mail but the problem persists. Anyone have any ideas?

Accord to Apple - Support - System Status web page iCloud Mail server might be down in some areas! so if down with you then Use https://www.icloud.com/ and get your email there for now!

icloud.com seems to be hosed, as well.

edit: guess not, but verification takes forever

second edit: icloud mail not working for me at icloud.com. get an error message,
