USB Accessory Permission

So, in Security/Privacy in Settings... I don't have the option (Ventura) to choose "Allow Accessories to Connect". It's not here at all.

We NEED the OPTION to TOGGLE IT ON and OFF. I have MANY USB DEVICES that worked FLAWLESSLY and now DO NOT CONNECT. I know this is DUE TO THIS FEATURE.

ADD THE TOGGLE TO MAC MINI AND FIX ASAP.

Why can I search for the option if it DOES NOT EXIST

Have you installed and run any "cleaning", "optimizing", "speed-up", anti-virus or VPN apps on your Mac?

If you're having problems with EHDs what format ar they. What's on them?

I have three 3rd party external drives connect and have no problem with them. I've never had to allow an external device permission to connect to a Mac.

There are some EHDs that Macs can't use without 3rd party software.

I am not entirely sure that the problem with charging the iPhone form the iMac (it charges slowly and for a short time, it only increase the battery by 5% aprox, and then stays that way for ever) is because of this or not, but the problem start the same day that I installed Ventura. I can charge the iPhone from a powered USB hub (that is connected to the iMac) without any problem. The data transfer between the iPhone and the iMac forks fine in the two cases.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Apple products and peripherals won't have an issue. I'm currently trying to get a Logitech webcam that was working pre-Ventura to work and running into this exact issue with the accessory permission option not being available. There is going to have to be a patch or an update to address this. Sooner rather than later.

Come on man he's not typing ALL caps. I know you've been here a LONG time, but this is not a helpful reply. You are better than that.

Seems like there are a lot of users (myself included) with the option for allowing accessories to connect in the system privacy and security setting is not there. So we can't change it.
