i cant set up message forwarding even though both my devices are signed into the same account

No "forward text messages" on ios 17.5.1 I'm reviving a topic that has been addressed unsuccessfully and then DROPPED each time. Husband's Iphone 12 pro, ios 17.5.1 no longer forwards SMS. Other messages are forwarded without this setting being present. On mine, iphone 12 pro max, the setting is there and working. I believe this to be a fairly new problem because it's only recently that sms won't send from Macbook. No need to tell me to check apple ids or turn off messages both on phone and in icloud, etc. All tried and failed.

iOS Messages app not forwarding SMS messages to Mac Within our family, three individuals have both an iPhone and a MacBook Pro. Four days ago, the three individuals moved from AT&T to T-Mobile. They still receive iMessages and SMS messages on their iPhones, but the SMS messages no longer forward to their respective MacBook Pro. We've checked all the settings in the iOS and Mac Messages apps, we've reset the network settings on our iPhones, have logged out of our respective Apple ID's on the devices and logged back in, and have off turned off all devices and turned them back on, but the problem still persists. We also have spent an hour on the phone with T-Mobile, but they can't figure out what's wrong either. Has anyone encountered this issue? And thoughts on solution?

Text message automatic forward to email Hi, The following article doesn't work - I don't have "Text Message Forwarding" Automatically forward texts to your other devices Make sure that you're signed in to iMessage with the same Apple ID on each device: iPhone or iPad: Check the Apple ID shown in Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. Mac: Open the Messages app, choose Messages > Settings (or Preferences), then click iMessage. Check the Apple ID shown. On your iPhone, go to Settings > Messages > Text Message Forwarding. If you don't see Text Message Forwarding, go to Settings > Messages. Turn off iMessage, then turn it back on. Tap Send & Receive, tap Use Your Apple ID for iMessage, then sign in with the same Apple ID used on your other devices. I have iphone 13, ios 16.4 Thank you very much, AK

That needs to be performed on the iPhone X .

It also qualifies for a never version of iOS than iOS 14 in profile above

Forward SMS/MMS text messages from your iPhone to your Mac or iPad

I just updated all my software and I cannot forward my messages to my MacBook? Ventura and iOS 16.1.1?

is this a fancy new bug in the operating systems?
