Make iPhone Volume Quieter (even when on lowest setting)

Is there a way to lower the iPhone speaker volume to be lower than the lowest current set volume point? I feel the jump is big between the lowest volume setting and no volume.

Sometimes I don’t have my headphones near and want to listen to something, but I don’t want to disturb those around me.

I know this can be done for headphones, but I am wondering how to do it without headphones, and just using the normal iPhone speakers.
