Macbook Mail app, Email disapears after clicking "Accept"

This has been addressed before but it is so annoying I will try to bring it up again. I get emails with calendar invitations and other information like instructions for meetings, or different tasks. When I hit accept the email is deleted and it does not even appear in the bin folder for some minutes. I always have to go to the bin folder, wait for a while, and send the email back to my Inbox.

Is there a way to solve this issue? or at least make it optional and not just automatically deleting the email?
