Precision finding an iPhone

The Find my app allows you to precision find AirTags and AirPods Pro 2nd gen if your iPhone has a U1 chip built in (iPhone 11 and up). Why can't we also precision find iPhones, when their location is already being shared with you trough Find my? I don't see any downside to this, but if there are, maybe make it an option when sharing the location, or maybe only make it available when the iPhone is in your family group. Either way, I assume the hardware is already there and that it wouldn't be hard to extend precision finding to iPhones. People look for their phones all the time. Maybe not you and me, but we all have parents who always seem to forget where they left their phone.
