I get OSStatus error -6583 when trying to backup to a another mac on my network
I select the disk from Time machine, get the authorization dialog and after that the error. The macbook I try to backup from has MacOS 12.5.1. Backup works to the external mac/disk using other macs.

If the hard drive is formatted differently, Time Machine will have difficulty copying information directly to it. Although the Migration Assistant may be able to import the data if it is the same or older operating system on the drive.

I upgraded and restarted Mac and now it works!
