I get OSStatus error -6583 when trying to connect to backup to an external mac

I get OSStatus error -6583 when trying to backup to a another mac on my network

I select the disk from Time machine, get the authorization dialog and after that the error. The macbook I try to backup from has MacOS 12.5.1. Backup works to the external mac/disk using other macs.
