Pages - keyboard shortcut to edit equation

Is there a keyboard shortcut to "Edit Equation"?

Is it possible to add it manually in the preferences?

I need a functionality such that I do not need to double-click on an existing equation to modify it. But instead I just mark the equation (shift+cmd) and then use a shortcut to edit it.

Thank you in advance for your help.

You can assign keyboard shortcuts to some primary Pages menu items, but not to secondary menu items (Edit Equation…) found by control-clicking/right-clicking (mouse) a selected equation. You still are required to double-click the existing equation to open and edit it.

I tested this with Pages v12.2 on macOS Monterey 12.6.1.
