mail crashing if use letter c in search
after update to Ventura, mail shuts down instantly if I search using letter c, no other letter. Restart makes no difference.

The following may be applicable: Rebuild mailboxes in Mail on Mac - Apple Support.
You can rebuild any mailbox, or all mailboxes. Rebuild each one, including Junk, Trash, Sent, etc since Mail's Search function can search all of them.
Needless to say, if you are using any non-Apple "anti-virus", "cleaning", or "Internet security" products including "banking security", anything at all in that broad category of utterly useless garbage, don't. A lot of things won't work if you do.
