Airdrop sometimes works, sometimes doesn't

Hello, I have iPad 9th (updated to the last version, restart, airdrop set to everyone, Bluetooth/wifi turn on/off..). But..when I want to send files from Mac (Catalina) to iPad, the connection failed. Today l successfully sent 3 files without a problem, but immediately l want to send 4. file and it failed, and it stopped working again. Sometimes it doesn't work at all (tried it with different devices).

I noticed a lot of my friends have sometimes the same problem.

Hello wontcha,

We understand that you're having an issue when trying to AirDrop from your iPad to your Mac. We'd like to help with resolving this issue that you've been experiencing.

We have some steps we'd like to have you try to help with isolating this issue. First, check to see if you are connected to a VPN:

1. Tap Settings

2. General

3. VPN

If you're not connected to a VPN, restart both devices and test again.

If that does not resolve the issue, we'd like to ask a few questions to help with isolating this issue:

Does this happen when trying to send specific files?
Are you able to send from the iPad to the Mac without an issue?
Have you been able to send via AirDrop in the past without an issue?
