Right click to send a link results in double entry

Hi all,

When reading newspapers on my phone, I sometimes come across articles that I want to keep or read later on my PC, so I right-click on the link and send to one of my Gmail accounts. This results in the link appearing twice in the body of the email. What am I missing, please?

Accessing the email account (why does it say 2 links?):

This is what the resultant email looks like

STOP PRESS! I've tried the same technique in Firefox and Duckduckgo and both work as expected, so it must be an Opera issue. I'll contact them to report the issue, but this thread can now be closed?

Hi again,

I use Opera on my iPhone as well as on my Windows PC. In this example, I use the news web page rather than their app. This is the second attempt, the first being rejected without explanation (too many pics?), hence the link below, to 5 screenshots to show what I see.

Incidentally, getting the iPhone screenshots on to my desktop for editing is a nightmare compared to my old Android phone. Lots of things to unlearn, I guess.

Now well past my bedtime, so will be a while before I can respond to any further posts. Thanks for your interest, meanwhile.

Moderators don’t get involved in discussions and don’t even read threads unless someone reports a problem with the thread contents; this forum is purely user-to-user. You will sometimes see posts from Community Specialists; they are Apple techs, but they only post when there are no user replies for a day or so after a thread starts, and they only post previously published Apple guidance.

Other users don’t stay up 24/7 to follow up on threads; we read and post when we have spare time.
