Charge a MacBook Pro 2019 16" with the Thunderbolt Display 27" MagSafe cable by using an adapter?

Can I charge a MacBook Pro 2019 16" with the Thunderbolt Display 27" MagSafe cable by using an adapter? I found this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08SBX99N1 But it states that it is not recommended for this purpose because of the low Watt output. But would it be unsafe to use it or would the charging just be slow?

Yes, that would work. Although your Mac came with a 96 W adapter and the display outputs 85 W, it will charge just fine (I frequently use 85 W chargers with my 2019 16" MBP).
