I have a 125 gigabyte SD photo card with some photos on it that became corrupted. I would like to upload the photos to my Lightroom library. I have a mac desktop running Ventura. How do I get the photos off of this SD card?

In addition to paid file recovery services, there are file recovery programs that might be of some help at less cost. One that has help me at times is called File Juicer. Depending on how corrupt the SD card has become, it may be able to extract some of the images if Finder can mount the card at all. They offer a trial period so you can find out if it might work for you.
Try using Image Capture from your Applications folder-- it might give you a chance. But if the whole SD card is corrupted, then you're out of luck. There may be professional (that means expensive) data recovery services who could get some of your images back....
The makers of the card sometimes have recovery software.
If the card is corrupted and not readable, you’ll be unable to remove items.
