Samba share not accessible from files.app

I can connect to my Samba server with my Iphone without any problems. However, if I am not connected to the local network for several minutes and then want to access the folder again when reconnected with my network, I get the error message:"Content unavailable the folder contents could not be displayed".

On an iPhone 13 with iOS 17.7 there is no problem having read and write access to the same folder and shared folder, but on my iPhone 14 with iOS 18 I only have ready access... Error when copying files from Files app on iPad to samba share I have a Ubuntu server on my local network that has a samba shared folder that I have successfully mounted with the Files.app on iPad. However, whenever I try to copy files from my iPad (iPad Air 5th gen, M1 processor running iOS 16.3.1) to the samba share, I get this error: you cant copy the item because its name is too long or includes characters that are invalid on the destination volume i have triple checked for special characters and even named the file “A” to ensure it wasn’t a long file name, so there is some other underlying issue here and I am not aware of a way to check log files to narrow down the issue.
