M2 MacBook Pro 13inch fan question

On the m2 MacBook Pro 13 inch where is the intake and exhaust for the fan located. Where does it draw cold air from and where does it exhaust the hot air. From my research I hear it’s all in the bottom side of the hinge on this model but I’m not sure. I want to know what areas to keep open and such for good ventilation

Macbook air 2017 fan comes on real loud. Hi, My MacBook Air 2017 fan comes on real loud after about 10/15 minutes. I tried resetting the SMC. I opened up the back, checked vent that runs across the back. Seems to be clear and free of any dirt. I don't exactly understand when you put the back, back on now where the vent goes across the back is where to the 2 halves of the computer are hinged together. There is a plastic piece that runs across the back. It sort of blocks the vents, only a small space shows where air can get through. That's the way it is designed. I don't know what else I can do to keep it cooled and stop the fan from running so fast. Doesn't stop unless I close the lid or shut it off. Any advice would be appreciated.

Mac Mini running hot - SIMPLE FIX I've been having this problem on a 2018 Mac Mini for awhile and discovered a fairly easy fix. After doing this it's been running normal and the case feels cool, to barely warm, to the touch! Like it should. So the issue is the fan inside can collect dust and you can carefully vacuum it out. I didn't need a new fan, nor did I need installing cooling fan control apps. It should work as it's designed. Mine was pretty gunked up and once vacuumed out, viola. There are some YouTube tutorials on how to properly open up the Mac and get to the fan. I went the extra step and removed the fan and also vacuumed the exhaust vent right under it, and the underside of the fan. The exhaust port probably isn't necessary for most people to clean, and you'll need to remove 3 screws of the fan to get there. If you're industrious, give it a whirl otherwise just vacuum the top exposed part of the fan at the minimum. One other thing, I highly recommend using a magnetic T6 security bit when removing these screws with your Mac unplugged. The magnetic bit will keep you from dropping screws into the computer and not being able to reach them. Good luck, my Mac is literally night and day better.

Fan control on 2023 Mac Pro broken after update to 13.5? How can this happen? After updating to Mac OS 13.5 on the 2023 Mac Pro M2 Ultra the Mac rebooted normal and around 1 min after login it started to turn up the top fan very high (around 2490 rpm, before it was 500 to 600) ... first there very many processes and optimization running but it did not stop now for 40 min. How can this happen? How can I stop it? It's very loud and before the update it was always completely quiet.

I will add—The M2 model has only a single fan inside its 13″ chassis. The 14″ model with the Pro chip has two fans.
