I’ve only had my new Apple TV, which was just released on Friday and already the new remote has disconnected several times on its first day. My old HD with remote, very rarely had a disconnection anyone else having this issue it’s only been out a couple of days. It’s completely charged 100%. Please post.
Thanks for your reply. I found that information when I was troubleshooting the remote kept disconnecting over the day over three times. I then took the remote from my older HD model and it’s been working fine for the last couple of days without disconnecting so therefore I am assuming that the new remote is faulty. I called Apple and they’re sending a replacement hope it’s not something that’s prevalent in other new remotes.
I have replaced my two Apple TV 2021 with new 2022 versions. The new remotes keep disconnecting on regular basis. I was not having any issue with the previous 2021 version. I really hope Apple will recognize the issue and bring a fix.
I purchased a new Apple TV 4K and after a week or so the remote wouldn’t work/connect even after charge. I returned and replaced it with a new Apple TV and now this control shows a disconnect unless it is directly in front of the main unit. Why is this happening? I never had this problem with previous Apple TV
Let’s hope it stays connected 🙏 I am off the opinion that there is some software issues with these tv’s.
I had original Apple TV for almost four years and it never disconnected. Decided to upgrade but seems it was a mistake. Now I moved my AirPods to other room and will see if that helps. Good luck with yours
Sorry to hear that. Mine is now holding up for second day after I took your advice and moved my AirPods to another room. Now holding fingers crossed 🤞 but if yours is out again it doesn’t sounds that they found the fix as yet.
frustrating to say the least.
I have spoken few times with apple tech support on issue I was facing and they did not acknowledge that they know off the issues. They just kept wanting to trouble shooting which I refused at the end as that was just a repetitive off what has been done.
So, short answer I don’t know if they know or if they acknowledge publicly.
however, mine is now holding on for last few days. Hope it stays that way. Don’t know what the fix ( if there was one ) is or was.

This is exactly the same problem I have with the new remote on the 2022 Apple TV. Other remotes work fine.
I updated the TvOS and it still happened. I have scheduled an Apple Store visit to replace my Apple TV.
I was hoping tvOS 16.2 would fix this but it hasn’t.
My remote dont work anymore. Maybe handy the serials to compare. To see of all models have it or only a few
