My Iphone 14 keeps asking me to set up faceid. I do not want faceid. How do I get it to stop asking me to set this up when I do not want it?

Just like on the tin. I don't want face id. All the articles I see so far are about turning it off once you've enabled it. I never enabled it and I don't want to enable it, and the phone asking me repeatedly to "finish setting up your phone" by wanting me to set up faceid is irritating.

Please tell me there is a way to get the phone to stop asking for this.

I have this same issue and have found no solution either! I’m not going to use Face ID, nor do I have any intention of saving cc or banking information in apples wallet. There should certainly be a “I don’t want this feature” button so that the settings notification goes away and the phone stops harassing me to do these things—but there isn’t. DO YOU HEAR US, APPLE?? WE DONT WANT IT.

If I ever find a solution I will come back here and post it. The struggle is real. Real, real annoying.

Settings > FaceID and Passcode > [Enter passcode] > Reset FaceID. This will remove the Face ID from your device.

I tried that. It wants to scan my face to set up FaceID. This does not remove FaceID from my phone. There is no option for "I don't want this feature, thanks." when you "reset FaceID"

If you are not using Wallet, any payment methods and don't have any financial apps on your iPhone it should stop asking that.
