Converting WP Docs to PAGES

If Word Perfect can export its documents to MS Word .docx, then you can in turn, open those .docx documents in Pages. It will translate them into Pages internal document format leaving the Word documents unchanged. This is likely the most accurate approach as Word Perfect would understand its Macros better than anything else for the conversion effort.

Alternatively, you could install the free LibreOffice Suite into your Applications folder, and it can convert WP documents to Word .docx — even designating the output folder for the results.

I wrote an Automator solution in 2019 that one drops a folder of WP files on it and it systematically converts them using LibreOffice to Word documents. Those that it cannot convert, it logs in a text file on the Desktop.

From that link I provided, read the steps carefully for constructing an Automator application on your Desktop. Automator is in your Finder Window Favorites > Applications folder. When it is complete, you drag and drop a folder containing your decided quantity of .wpd files onto that application icon, and it will next present you with a dialog asking you to choose a destination folder for the converted Word documents. Then you sit back and wait for the application to finish and provide you with a completion dialog with file counts. Any attempt at .wpd to .docx that fails to complete will be logged on your Desktop in a file named wpderrors.txt.

LibreOffice is an MS Office clone, so you will be able to open any of those Word documents in it with a reasonable appearance to what they would look like in Microsoft Word.
