how long should it take to charge iPod shuffle 2nd generation

Looking at page 6 of the iPod Shuffle (2nd Generation) user guide, Apple provides the following info on charge time:

For best results, charge the battery fully the first time you use iPod shuffle. A depleted battery can be 80-percent charged in about two hours and fully charged in about four hours.

Another thing to factor in, is the age of the device/battery. This model iPod Shuffle is around 15 years old. Because of the age of that battery it may take longer to charge and have a shorter runtime than when it was newer.
