Bug of purchasing system: "Authorization Failed" when using both apple account balance and apple gift cards together?
I tried to buy a Macbook Pro, which costs around $4,500. I purchased some gift cards, and redeemed $2,000 into my apple account, so that I have an account balance $2,000.
When I placed the order with my account blanace $2,000 and gift cards totally around $2,500 and chose it to be
delievered, after I clicked "place your order", it said "Authorization Failed", and "A request to your bank for the funds ... was declined". However, here I even didn't use any bank credit/debit card. I use only apple account balance and apple gift card; everything is on Apple.
If I chose to pick it up, it says "Your order is only eligible for delivery" because of the Covid-19.
So there is no way to purchase the laptop online on the apple store.
I also go to the phisical apple store offline, and when I tried to make the payment, the salesclerk just told me that
the apple account balance cannot be used to purchase on the phisycal store, unless the balance is added into the apple wallet. Then I tried to add my apple account to the apple wallet, and it failed, because it's illegal at the current time (that is confirmed by a specialist).
I also contacted the supporters of iPhone Sales Team, the supporters tried to help me place the order using their own computers, but they faced with the same issue as mine.
I contacted some specialists of the apple store and chatted online. One specialist told me to to contact AppleCare Team to set the limit for apple account balance to be higher, so that I can redeem all of my gift cards to the account balance, and then try to place the order again. However, when I contacted a specialist on the AppleCare Team, she told me that the highest limit is $2,500, which does not cover the cost $4500, therefore, it still doesn't work.
Another specialist told me it is a bug of the purchasing system, and let me wait it to be fixed and then try again.
I have tried again and again for one week.
So now, the fact is that I have all of my mony locked by Apple, and I can't get the refund, and I can't use it to purchase what I want.
Does anyone face with the same delemma as mine? Is there any solution? How to contact the apple Managers to solve the problems?
