Solved no second alert on calendar

I was frustrated because my calendar on iPhone suddenly did not allow a second alert feature. All of my previous events had that option. I just talked to someone at APPLECARE, and I got a fix for my issue. Thought I would share it. My problem was that I was using an Exchange calendar instead of the iCloud calendar. Here is the fix. It is November 2022 by. And I am using iOS 15.7.1

Go to settings/calendar/Default calendar

select either Work or Home from the iCloud calendar

then go into Accounts/exchange

And take off the green button on calendars. I also chose to takeoff reminders and notes from my exchange account, since I don’t use these on my Exvhange email.

Voila!! I went back into my calendar and set a fake appointment, and after I set the first alert, I went back and there was a second alert option!!!

This solved the problem for me. I hope it helps others who have Exchange accounts.
