How to access my icloud.com files from company's mac

Hi I am trying to download some of my icloud.com files on to my company supplied macbook pro. but the company macbook's apple ID is under IT's credential. How can I download/access my personal icloud files. I do not have another mac.

TIA.

The solution was for me to go back to one of my ancient 2011 iMac, log in with my "Apple ID", then I can see the icloud files on the finder window left pane and drag to my external HD.

The lesson here is one have to log-in with his or her own apple ID on a mac in order to download their icloud files, cannot try to access your icloud files on a mac which has other person's appleID, in my case my work computer which has IT's apple ID.

unfortunately our IT isn't interested in anything in regards to personal stuff, they are too busy.

The only way I found to access icloud.com stuff is where you are the owner of the mac, which has the apple id corrsponding to the mac, then on the left pane in finder browser window you can see "icloud" and access as any drive.

That is how you would access your files on your own Mac.

Please read the following:

  1. Open an internet browser (e.g., Safari or any other browser)
  2. Log into www.icloud.com
  3. Your files will be in the iCloud Drive app on that website.
  4. Click on a file in the iCloud Drive app at iCloud.com and then click the download icon (cloud with down arrow) in the bar at the top of the window

Note that if you download the file, any changes you make will not be synced back to your Mac

You may want to talk to your IT department.

Normally you can use any computer (Windows or Mac) internet browser and download any file from iCloud.com even if the the computer is setup with any or no Apple ID.

What happens when you use a browser and click on a file in the iCloud Drive app at iCloud.com and then click the download icon (cloud with down arrow) in the bar at the top of the window?
