Missing single Air Pod Pro (1st gen) but battery of that airpod still displays, is it nearby?

when I go to repair my airpod pro case by holding down button it shows battery life of each airpod! The left one went missing two days ago. Find my was no help as only case would ring not left airpod. By seeing that missing left airpod batt. Life displayed does that mean it’s close by? In range? And if so how many feet away could it be?

any info would be helpful!

Hey Jgblack,

We'll be happy to help with the missing left AirPod. You are right that the AirPods usually need to be nearby to detect the battery percentage, so it is possible that it is nearby. However, Find My is the only reliable way of tracking a missing item.

If you're unable to locate it, follow the steps under "Replace a missing AirPod or case" in this resource: How to find your lost AirPods - Apple Support.

Cheers.
