Monterey Email Address Book

When I updated with Monterey, it totally changed my address book so I can't access email addresses that used to be in it - where did those addresses go?

Hey there WillyEmbler,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We're happy to provide some assistance.

Do you know if your contacts were synced to a third-party account such as Google or Yahoo? We ask because it is possible you're not signed into that third-party account after updating; therefore, you would need to sign into that account before your contacts are synced again. Otherwise, make sure your contacts are enabled in iCloud. Look under the "Check your default Calendar, Reminders, and Contacts account" section here: If your iCloud Contacts, Calendars, or Reminders won’t sync - Apple Support

"Check your default Calendar, Reminders, and Contacts account

If you store and edit your contacts in iCloud instead of another place, like On My Mac, Exchange, or Google, then iCloud automatically updates your contacts. If you use multiple accounts on your Mac like iCloud, Gmail, and Yahoo, make sure that iCloud is your default Contacts account:

    1. Open the Contacts app.
    2. Choose Contacts > Accounts.
    3. Click the iCloud tab and make sure that you're signed in with your Apple ID.

As long as you've turned on Reminders in System Preferences, your iCloud reminders appear on your Mac."

Keep us posted.

Have a great day!
