Remote Desktop from Windows 10 to MacOS 12.6.1

Hey all,

I want to be able to view my client's screen (macOS Monterey 12.6.1) from my Windows 10 (x64) machine. Most guidance I have come across so far is about the other way around (macOS to Windows).

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello nn9314,

You'll need to have the Mac set up to accept remote access. The steps at Allow Apple Remote Desktop to access your Mac

  1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Settings, click General  in the sidebar, then click Sharing on the right. (You may need to scroll down.)
  2. Turn on Remote Management, then click the Info button  on the right.
  3. If asked, select the tasks remote users are permitted to perform. If you’re not asked, click Options to select tasks.
  • Do one of the following:
  • Select “All users” to let anyone with a user account on your Mac share your screen.
  • Select “Only these users,” click the Add button , then select the users who can share your Mac.

4. Click Computer Settings, select options for your Mac, then click OK.

5. If people connect using a VNC viewer, you need to set a password.

6. Click Done.

Then from the Windows side, you'd need to make use of a third-party viewer or direct IP connections. Microsoft can likely help you with that guidance.
