Ventura broke spotlight

Since my Mac air updated to Ventura I can not use the spotlight function. I’ve tried all the classic tricks of completly shutting down and restarting Anna checking my spotlight system settings but I can not find a solution. Any help? Thanks

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.4

What does it mean that you can't use it? Does it not appear when you press Command-space? Does it appear but not show search results? Something else?

Does it work in Safe Mode?

Did you reset the Spotlight index? (only useful if Spotlight appears but does not show the expected results)

In Terminal, paste this line:

sudo mdutil -E /

type your password as requested and press enter (there is no feedback as you type the password).

Give some time to reindex.
