Safe search lock is on

My safe search is locked. I have changed browsers, went through all settings and even got a new I phone. And it still is locked. My kids are on the same carrier and theirs is not locked what do I do at this point?

Hello RachelWiessner,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand you are asking about "safe search" on your iPhone. Without additional details, we aren't sure exactly what you are referring to.

If you use the Google web browsing app, you might be referring to a setting within their app. From the Google support website, here is information on disabling their browser SafeSearch feature: Filter explicit results using SafeSearch - iPhone & iPad

If you aren't using the Google web app, but using Safari, you may need to check your Screen Time settings. There are content restrictions you could have enabled that may be causing what you see.

Use Screen Time on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

  1. Go to Settings > Screen Time
  2. Tap Content & Privacy Restrictions
  3. Toggle Content & Privacy Restrictions on if it isn't already (just temporarily)
  4. Tap Content Restrictions
  5. Tap Web Content
  6. Make sure "Unrestricted" is checked
  7. Back out to disable Content & Privacy Restrictions if needed

If you aren't able to resolve the issue, or have additional questions, reply back with details here.

Take care.
