Why does Chrome automatically expand when I use it on my MacBook?

I use Safari for most things, but for various sites find Chrome does better.

On my iMac running Monterey, I can use the wonderful Tile feature with Chrome on one side without a hitch.

However, on my MacBook running Monterey, every time I use Chrome as a tile its window expands to full screen when I hit <return>, rendering the tiling feature useless.

I queried the Chrome community with no luck. They said ask Apple.

Anyone have a clue?

Thanks,

Rob

Hey there Urokguy,

It sounds like you may be referring to macOS Split View. If so, the following resource will help you learn more about how to view apps side by side.

Use two Mac apps side by side in Split View

If you are instead referring to an extension you've installed in Chrome, or a feature built into Chrome, you will want to work the respective developer for help.

Have a good one!
