check monthly network usage

I want to check my monthly internet data usage. In Activity Monitor -> Network, I see "data received". What time frame is it referring to?

OS: monterey

Data received is since that particular app has been running. Currently there is not a way to see the network data for monthly usage in Activity Monitor.

If your ISP provides an iOS or macOS application (e.g. Xfinity), when you are signed into it, it can report your total monthly data transfer, and may even show you a histagram of past months usage.

Neither macOS, iOS, or iPadOS can show you this aggregate data ISP data usage.
