Wifi, Bluetooth, AirDrop and Personal Hotspot can’t turn on button

I upgraded to iOS 16.1 on my iPhone 12, and I can’t turn on the wifi, Bluetooth, AirDrop and Personal Hotspot buttons. Anyone else having this problem? Know how to fix it? I have already reset the Network Parameters but I keep having the issue.

Hey GALANAZO,

Do you happen to have any sort of MDM profiles installed on your iPhone? This might be an important note if so, as they can limit the availability of functions such as Personal Hotspot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and others. To check for installed profiles, go to Settings > General > VPN & Device Management. If there is a profile listed there, you may want to remove it and then restart your iPhone and test again. This same reasoning would apply if you happen to have any sort of security apps installed or configured.

Take care.

Hey there GALANAZO,

Is Wi-Fi also greyed out in Settings? You may want to take a few steps to help ensure your'e able to connect to Wi-Fi.

  1. Update iOS on iPhone
  2. Reset network settings from Settings > General > Transfer or Reset > Reset Network Settings (be aware that this will not save network related passwords, like Wi-Fi passwords, so make sure you know those before resetting the network settings)

You'll also want to follow the additional steps found within: If your iPhone or iPad won't connect to a Wi-Fi network

Have a good one!

Hi jdo_apple.

  1. I updated iOS, I’m on 16.1 but I had the problem since 16 (not at the moment of the update, but later.
  2. I already reseted the network settings, but it didn’t work.
  3. The wifi button is not grayed, I activate it, but closing settings and opening again in the moment, the WiFi is turned off again.
  4. Bluetooth button is grayed.
  5. Personal Hotspot is Indiscoverable, and can’t change it.
  6. AirDrop is off, and I change it to “Everyone” but at the moment it comes back to “off”.

I think all of these issues come from the same problem, but have no idea where it comes from.
