“Passcode Required to open Wallet”

Okay, so it all started like, last week maybe. I was just looking at my phone Lock Screen for the time and it just shows me a all black background with the text, “Passcode Required to open Wallet” “Enter Passcode.” It just happened randomly, even this morning I got the same message again. And I’m so confused because I never set up any apple wallet or turn on any features with wallet in my passcode and Face ID setting (I turned off the wallet options). I want to know, is this like a glitch in the system, or if I’m being hacked and something is wrong. If there’s anyone else that is having this issue, please let me know what it is. It’s freaking me out a bit.

While it's impossible to say exactly why this occurred, it could be that at some point, the side button on your iPhone was pressed twice quickly, which is a shortcut to bring up Apple Pay, which requires either Face ID or your Passcode to activate. Was your iPhone in your pocket at any point or is there chance that the side button was pressed twice by accident at any point before seeing this message? Also, is this the only time you've seen it? If so, that's more than likely what happened, but to be sure, please provide some additional details.


However, If you think your Apple ID has been compromised, please look over this page as it details a slew of steps to take to regain control.
