Heart rate with a treadmill desk

Apple Watch heart rate tracking is pretty terrible when I'm walking on my treadmill desk. It's clearly double counting my heart beat with my steps, so it oscillates between 50 bpm and 100 bpm. On days when I'm not working at my treadmill desk, my heart rate is solid at about 50-60 bpm. Is there a way to fix this so it reports my heart rate accurately even while walking at my desk?
